The goal for our AAU program is to field competitive teams for grades 3rd-8th. AAU is for the competitive kid who want to play basketball at the high school level. AAU is not run like our camps. AAU players will have high expectations placed on them. Playing time time is not automatic, it will be earned.
All players will go through a tryout. If selected, there will be a fee to be paid at that time. All fees go towards tournament entrance fees and any extra team costs. There will also be a fee for the team uniform (jersey and shorts). Uniforms will be for practices and games. Players will also get to keep the uniform and use for future AAU seasons. 8th graders will need to pay a little extra. 8th graders will finish the Spring AAU season, and go straight to the Summer High School AAU season.
Based on the turnout at tryouts for each grade, determines the number of teams per grade. Players will be expected to attend all practices, unless excused by the coach. Parents and players will also be expected to agree and sign our Parent/Player Contract. Contracts must be signed and returned before the team's 1st tournament. Players will not be allowed to compete, until the contract is returned.
Most tournament games are local. There may be an occasional tournament that requires travel and an overnight stay. Additional fees may be needed for out of town tournaments. Schedules will be created and posted, with tournament dates and games schedules. Parents will be notified of any extra tournaments not on the schedule.
High School AAU is for potential players who will be part of our Central Basketball program.
